Publishing this first blog post is a lot like making the first cut of an edit. It's freaking daunting. But you have to start somewhere. Don't let perfectionism get in the way of a good thing. Everything was a rough cut as some point and rough cuts are like kids—they embody the most exciting qualities of life: possibility and discovery. Of course they need discipline to grow up, but they need a chance to be free to make their own mistakes and have a little fun. As a video editor, show your rough cut a little love but God bless the child.
