Adobe's Make The Cut Contest Puts You in the Edit Chair of Imagine Dragons' Next Music Video

Imagine this: YOU editing the next music video for Imagine Dragons.

Now open your eyes and read on.

In honor of the 25th Anniversary of Premiere Pro, Adobe is teaming up with Imagine Dragons for a "first of its kind" worldwide music video editing contest. From now till April 6th, contestants can download the uncut music video footage for the hit song "Believer" by Imagine Dragons, and edit their own version for the chance to win $25,000!

One bonus prize of $2,500, a one-year Creative Cloud subscription and 25 Adobe Stock credits will be awarded to the music video with the best use of Adobe Stock footage.

Multiple $1,000 prizes and one-year Creative Cloud subscriptions will be handed out for:

  • Best Young Creator (under 25 years old)

  • Best Short Form (30-60 seconds long)

  • Fan Favorite (most liked on the Creative Cloud YouTube channel)

  • Most Unexpected ("Wow us!")

Entries will be judged by a panel of award-winning film, TV, and music video editors like: Kirk Baxter (Gone Girl), Angus Wall (The Social Network), Billy Fox (Straight Outta Compton) and Vinnie Hobbs (Kendrick Lamar: "Alright"), as well as Matt Eastin, the director of the original "Believer" music video, and the Imagine Dragons band members themselves.

Need some inspiration? Watch the behind-the-scenes video with "Believer" director, Matt Eastin, and hear his hopes for Make The Cut contestants. He's most excited to see the work by those contestants who are not Imagine Dragons fans and have never seen the "Believer" music video.

This is the perfect opportunity (with a HUGE upside) for aspiring video creators and professional editors alike to jump into Premiere Pro and edit a real music video. Sign up now, download the assets and start editing!
