FilmImpact.net: Impact Dissolve - In-Depth-Video Tutorial

FilmImpact.net has launched a new "In-Depth-Video" tutorial series. In this debut tutorial, FilmImpact.net examines the default Cross Dissolve transition in Premiere Pro CC. Using the Lumetri waveform scope, they show a significant jump from zero percent opacity to the next frame. In other words, the Cross Dissolve transition starts and ends abruptly. FilmImpact.net then compares their free Impact Dissolve transition for Premiere Pro CC. It uses a linear curve, making it a much smoother dissolve.

This episode we’ll be talking about the Mother of all video transitions: The Dissolve. The default cross dissolve built into Premiere Pro has an issue that becomes visible in certain situations. To overcome this, we’ve built a new tool for you to use. —FilmImpact.net
